The Sinking of the Titanic

Sinking of the Titanic - Oil Painting, done in 1997.

This is my 1997 painting on the sinking of the Titanic. It is based on a print from a 1912 book. I found the book in the attic of my old home. Some photos of the book are included, below. The covers and several of the front pages are missing from the book. The phrase, "Wreck of the Titanic," is printed on the top of the pages. I've done some research on the book. I believe it is a copy of the Story of the Wreck of the Titanic: The Ocean's Greatest Disaster, Memorial Edition, edited by Everett Marshall, 1912. (Collectors - See "Notice" at the bottom of the page.)

As mentioned earlier, below are several photos of the 1912 book. The discovery of the book, back in 1997, inspired the painting.
